I got up a bit late and started to break camp, and then a lot of people that were walking around the park stopped to ask me questions while I packed up, which further delayed my departure. Once on the road, I was able to enjoy a nice, leisurely ride through rolling farmland. I even saw some whitetail deer, which skittered away almost before I noticed them.
The rolling hills became almost monotonous, though you won't hear me complaining. The day finished with a somewhat difficult climb into Christiansburg.
