Started the day with a nice tailwind and a surprisingly rejuvenated pair of legs, which was a nice change of pace. My ribs still hurt, though. I pretty much tore through the first 30 miles, which made for an easy day.

I was charging up hills like nobody's business, and I actually finished my toughest climb before I realized it had started. It's really great to be peaking at the end of my trip. Damn, I planned that well. Sure didn't need this energy back in Virginia. Or Kentucky. Or Kansas. Crap.

I stopped at Cabinet Gorge RV Park, which is in the middle of nowhere. It turned out to be a pleasant little spot, and I spent the rest of the afternoon hanging out at the camp's fishing dock, enjoying a great night as I watched the sun set behind the hills.

Me (on the dock):

You should have seen that haircut three weeks ago. Wow. I had to tighten my helmet straps.

The view (from the dock):

The beavers that circled (the dock):

The campground hosts were extremely nice, if a bit eccentric. They had about 20 pet rabbits, which hopped all over the campground as everyone cooked dinner and setted in for the evening.

All in all, it was a perfect night (remember, I'm in the middle of nowhere). I relaxed, enjoyed the lake, and hit the hay.
